Kalina Beth Studio

Kalina St. Jean is a watercolour artist, mother of three young children and farmer's wife.

She lives with her beautiful family in rural south-western Ontario in a cozy log home where she loves to cook what grows in the garden and bake sweet things.

Having grown up in northern Ontario and now living the farm life, Kalina has always had a strong love for nature which is the biggest inspiration for her artwork. She believes that nature is essential for all of us and that there is so much peace and beauty to be found in it.

From growing up with a grandmother and aunts who loved gardening to later marrying a farmer who loves to grow anything, gardening soon became her other passion. To be able to grow fresh food and cook wholesome things from it for her family and to be able to harvest buckets of fresh blooms to beautify an interior and share with neighbours, the garden is an endless source of inspiration.

Kalina's artwork is an ode to the simple yet intricate beauty of nature and the garden. The detail in her illustrations invites you to slow down and notice the little things in life, the beauty of natural elements that you may have over looked while they were outside. Her artwork allows you to bring a little of the natural beauty into your home to bring more calm, beauty and joy to the simple, everyday moments that make up your life.

Kalina is a big believer that it is those simple everyday moments that make up a wonderful life and believes in making them as beautiful and as joy filled as possible.
